The Standard Salon & Spa was founded by Melyssa Delongpre with a simple mission: to create a space where beauty, comfort, and creativity come together. Formerly Azure Salon, we’ve rebranded and expanded into a full-service destination offering expert hair care, spa services, and curated wellness—all under one roof in Independence, MO.
Here, every service is personalized, every stylist is empowered, and every guest is part of the family.
Melyssa Beier
Melyssa is a devoted wife, mother of five, and passionate small business owner. She has made it her mission to show that women can absolutely provide for their families while still being present and engaged as mothers and wives.
In 2021, Melyssa and her family relocated from California, bringing with them a dream to create a salon that offers luxury hair care for the entire family. She firmly believes that everyone deserves to feel like the most beautiful version of themselves—and to have a welcoming space where they can feel confident and comfortable.
Melyssa specializes in blonding, extensions, color corrections, and all things bridal. Her artistry and dedication to her craft are evident in every client she serves.
When she’s not at the salon, you can find Melyssa soaking up the sun and spending quality time with her family.

Leilani Day
Leilani is a stylist extraordinaire with 3 1/2 years of experience and a passion for creating colors that pop, like vivids, blondes, and reds. She's all about crafting hairstyles that make you feel like a rockstar. Leilani puts in the long hours to ensure her clients are beaming with joy by the end of the day. When she's not styling, she's probably indulging in sushi or laughing at comedy shows, all while being a devoted cat mom.

Located conveniently in Independence, Missouri, Rosie offers professional salon services to clients with the comfort of feeling as if they are in their own homes. The RosieXperience LLC specializes in multicultural hair textures—natural hair, curls, braids, and precision cuts and colors—maintaining the integrity of all hair types. Rosemary is passionate about making her clients look and feel fabulous for any occasion, always striving to provide the best possible salon experience.

Hey Beautiful, I’m Kara! My passion lies in helping my clients feel like their most beautiful selves through natural lash extensions and flawless spray tans! Building relationships with my clients is at the heart of what I do! I believe understanding each other and communicating always allows us to get the best results! I understand how busy life gets for everyone, so I have an extremely flexible schedule to accommodate whatever times you need!
